The Snag Silhouette Collection
While hiking Colorado trails, it's not unusual to pass through a burn area. To me, the areas used to represent death and destruction. Since many forest fires are often accidentally caused by man, I would look upon the dead, standing Ponderosa pine and Douglas fir trees with remorse. Then one day I came upon a seen with a dead tree - a snag; silhouetted against a beautiful sunset sky. Since then, I have found the snag silhouettes to be unusually beautiful.
